Promising relief from ‘black magic’, man rapes married woman in Pune
PUNE: A man, who claimed to have spiritual powers, was on Friday booked by the Pune Cantonment police for allegedly promising a shop-owner that he would free his home from black magic and then raping and blackmailing his 33-year-old wife. The incidents happened between 2005 and 2010.
The suspect has been identified as Prakash Devidas Pawar of Ganesh Peth. The incident came to light after the woman lodged a complaint with the police. Along with Pawar, the police have also booked his wife and aides Rupesh Chavan, Sunny, Atul and Khujem Siyamwala.
